My 20th Birthday 10:01 PM

Before i forget, and the rush of presentations, orals and submissions etc let me record this happy event. :3

It was on Monday, 20th October, that i got my first birthday present from my brother's gf. Two nice boxes in a mini toons plastic bag. Ooo what a vital clue to its contents. haha. I opened my presents at 1+am. heh official present-opening time.

On the day itself, 25th October (ah what a nice date :p), i had to wake up at 6+am! Ugh has been a long time since i woke up in that kind of time. It was not a good start as the family was late to report at the company's meeting place. Dad was impatient and with lack of sleep, tempers flared and i was feeling snappy.

Little sis was like a stranger too, as she has been cooping herself in the room the whole day, attached to the computer. My attempts in trying to converse with her always resulted in her shoo-ing me out of the room :(.

But anyway, when we reached the goat farm (it was dad's company's family day at the farms at Lim Chu Kang), the sight/smell of the goats put us to rights. Since the parents didnt wanna 'waste' money buying the hay (from Australia) to feed the goats, i had to purchase it with my own money. :3 The live demonstration of the milking of cows were abit lewd. The udders of the goats were so swollen, milk squirted out if they hopped around too much. It must have been painful and heavy. :( The suction machines were also uneven in pressure as some of the udders were unevenly squeezed, resulting in an unbalanced shape of the udder. And then we went to see the goats.

As i wanted to take photos, i handed the packet of hay to mum and she had fun feeding the goats. :3 A vivid scene was when a little boy was feeding a few little goats. He said to them "Grow up faster k" So sweet! And sad. What type of future awaits these goats? The horns of female goats were burnt off when young. And when the goats were too old, they were not butchered for meat but sent off to NUH for practice for doctors. ;( The complimentary small bottle of goat milk, chocolate flavour, was ok on the first few sips. But the goat taste got stronger and i gulped down the rest. :3

Next were some fish farms and vegetable ones. Frog farm too. But the goat farm was the highlight of the day. :) And lil sis, she's getting very stubborn that i can't stand her sometimes. Is this a part of growing up? Quarreled with her a few times during the family day. But upon seeing something interesting, there's no one else to turn too..

Next was a nice lunch at a coffee shop in Marsiling. Had the delicious 'gan lao mian' and fried prawn noodles. And bought the last packet of jackfruit too. Yummy. And the family slept in the afternoon. After the ritual of singing of birthday song and cake cutting, i got ready to meet Ng Min in NUS for a violin concert at Yong Siew Toh Music Conservatory.

Ah what a nice place to study music at. ;( More than half of the building had restricted access to its music students. Students had to sign up for sessions with their respective profs. And the whole place was fully air conditioned. Ng Min said the music library is open to all other NUS students too. Shall have a look-see there one day. ^^

Ng Min remembered it was my birthday! She got me a nice dark blue jacket-creation from The Clothes Publisher that i didnt know how to wear at first. :3

And so the weekend passed by without me knowing it. Now, there's a food essay to do, due on Tuesday. I feel quite uneasy about it cuz im relying mainly on 1 book for ideas. That is none of the stuff in the essay are my ideas or analysis. Ugh. I now have 4 pages out of the 10-12. Also, Japanese lecture today added on to the stress, with the announcement on details for the class debate and oral exam in the final week. And i still cant catch what my TA sensei is saying. She speaks so fast compared to other senseis. And she will be 1 of the 2 graders on that day. ugh. :x

Supposed to do SS webcast and tutorial tonight. And after that go through various book reviews on that principle book im using (some critiques of the book made me worried :3) But im so tired. The after-effects of karate last night. I want to have as much time possible for the completion of the essay though.Tomorrow i will be going for a training session for a performance in December. 9am at NUS. T^T I have applied for Exchange programme. What a load off the back. My 5 choices are all Canada unis.

Till next time then. This may be my last entry till after the exams. My head hurts a little. x_x

Growing up, i want to be a more 'stable' person! :D
