the hols are ending!
2:40 PM
Ah didnt have time to update this record of my life. Let's have a summary of my holidays. School is starting next monday. Ugh. *refers to organizer for following events*MAY6th May TuesdayLast day of exams, SC2101 Social Research Methods. It was an evening paper. Leaving the exam hall, i felt too tired to be happy. But i could feel the tension leaving me. Ah what a contrast to these sunny days of freedom :D I went causeway point for waffles at Gelare (tuesday is waffle day!) alone. Went i went home, i watched the SYF opening ceremony cd that Aundrea lent me looong ago. She was from Nanyang Girls' Chinese Dance. Can really see the high standard there compared to my Riverside. She said NYG and Rivervally High's chinese dance are fierce competitors at the SYF. I have yet to return her cds, and she, mine.7th May WednesdayHaving slept late last night (yesh i was so tired but i refused to sleep. First night of freedom!), i made Nissan Laksa cup noodles for myself. My fav flavour. Yum. The dried shrimps can be wonderously juicy! I went to have my hair cut. (ugh it's getting long already. Wanna cut it again before school re-opens. Better contact the friendly neighbourhood auntie soon) Played Heroes 3 with lil sis too.8th May ThursdayCindi, Yan Wei and Sun Quan's last day of exams! (econs) I met them at Vivo and we ended up at White Dog Cafe. The food isnt nice. I only remember the sparkly glasses of water against the sunlight. At night, i started on La Corda d Oro, an anime my lil sis recommended. It is a guilty pleasure, a harem of musically talented guys surrounding an average girl.9th May Friday Went shopping with Mum at jurong east. Jurong east library's manga! And the yummy combo of shilin's XXL chicken and oyster mee sua. Crispy and soggy together~10th May SaturdayWe had our Mother's day celebration at the nearby zhu chao coffeeshop. It was crowded. The food was yummy. We had our father's day feast there last year too. 11th May SundayWent grandma's house with mum and lil sis. She was on a wheel chair. The maid and i talked abit and she said she cant leave the house and didnt have anything to do or talk too. '_' The whole stack of paper boxes she folded is still in our living room cuz granma had too many. It's used for bones from dinner. 12th May MondayHad Anime Club meeting. As usual, i didnt have a voice there. But i was to help out with the sewing of costumes for Matric fair and bazaar at the cosplay i/c's house. Sounds promising. ^^ It was to be a Matsuri (festival) theme. We were to sew miko (priestess) costumes. Had Karate training later.13th May TuesdayThat night, had stayover at andrea's and natalie's hall, at NTU. Though the start was slow with mahjong, when everybody was assembled, we had our movies fest. :D First watched Step it up 2 (not my type of movie but the dance moves were amazing), 27 dresses (learnt that i must know how to say no to people too otherwise i may never get married?? haha), Koizora (some scenes were disturbing. hello only school goers here! but i actually cried at the end. hehe tried to cover it up by sniffling. Heard suspiciously similar sounds from andrea at my side and from the bed behind, ah bao. And QQ had to spoil the mood! :p you QQ, till the day comes that u will shed tears over a mere screen!) After that was CJ7, the first movie that i fell asleep watching. Had a bad impression of it since then. But then it was already 5+am. Breakfast with drea and her guy hallmate. She had to disappear for so long! So me and him just blabbered about inane things :p. I found out that him, being the youngest of guys, knows how to cook well! heh. Drea and i then hitched a taxi bakc home. Ahh.. Night was my com time. With msn, job search, and anime taking me up till 4+am. (thinking back, again job searching caused me so much grief and in the end Juz Edu was still the answer. Though it did cause me stress too. Haish)Wow im only at 13th May! At this rate... Ok i will summarize to the 'major' events. Have tuition later at 8pm.JOB SEARCH26th May, MondayAn interview at a posh place, UOB plaza. Good that mum accompanied me to raffles place and promised some shopping after. The job's pay was promising $12/hour as a event promoter. There was even a costume to go with it and the agent said it wasnt sleazy. Though i was able to hold myself well, there were no replies from this venture. One at Bugis, trying to get Cindi's Starhub telemarketing job. 3rd June, Tuesday. Met Sherry and her friend to go together too. We waited very long for someone to interview us. And in the end the manager said he cant have us cuz we cant commit. The beginning of a series of rejections..5th June, Thursday. Went to try out an interview (alone. yea there were still jitters) for a waitress job at MOF at Lot1. Again it failed. Though when i looked at the menu the desserts looked yummy! (i got to visit it again this time as a customer last week with mum. yesh, the desserts were nice :p". The same people were there too. They didnt recognize me but i had a strange feeling)18th June, WednesdayAnother telemarketing job, this time promoting credit cards. It was a harrowing experience that made me doubt myself. Though at JuzEdu i had to make phonecalls too, this time it was coldcalling to promote things. The i/c were nice there, always encouraging and telling me ways to improve but it just made me more aware of my poor performance compared to the others. And the new guy who came with me (turned out to be a union camp og-mate from last yr -_-). The 4hour ordeal was so drawn out and i earned $40 from it though my ego was reduced.30th May, Monday and TuedayThe start of a fun, slack, interesting job as a helper of chinese brush painting/ calligraphy shi fu's at Anglican High (Tanah Merah at 7.30am! *_*) I was late on the 1st day (heh) and made the female incharge irritated cuz i made her climb up and down the 4 stories of classrooms. Though it wasnt well-paying ($10/class), it was a soothing job to have. Pity about the distance and timing. Thanks to Xiu Min for this lobang.28th July to 3rd AugustMy stressful week at JuzEdu. Cuz i usually work on Sundays there, and dont need to do the daily grind of Operatons stuff. So the weekdays (especially from thursday to saturday) were new to me. And the place was understaffed. And there were mind-boggling worksheet arrangements to be deciphered for classes affected by National Day on Saturday (our day with most classes!). So i took a long time figuring out what to print. The copier had to spoil on friday night. And we had to get a nearby branch to print the required worksheets for us. Haish i felt like disappearing then. :( But sunday, a more relaxed day with no i/c, i got back my spirit to work. And with a not bad colleague like Nigel, who had to catch a cockroach in one of the classes, i look forward to more Sundays. (no more weekday work for me! *_* and hope i didnt mess up the worksheet arrangements after all. Till national day then)CAMPSArts Camp 9-10 June (pre-camp)+23-27 June (actual)Thank goodness Marilyn is there! U hear me, gal! :) Otherwise i will be so lonely as i dont know any of the councillors there. Or the OGL. I was the AOGL (assistant) and i felt the responisbility to help out whenever i can. Really got lotsa things to to. I was able to talk and connect with a few freshies like Zeya, Celeste, Nurus and Clara. Xin Le was my freshie too. It felt strange.Cindi, Yan wei and the others of my ex-og mates of last year were all in another og. Separated, just like last year's o-week. Even now, while o-week is ongoing and they are there too, im happily at home typing up things and resting. ^^ Feel like im missing out but i really need to recollect myself and learn from the holidays. As for the pre-camp, i really enjoyed playing a**hole taiti till 5+am with my fellow seniors. They wont be in my og for the actual camp. We barely keep in touch these days too. What were those 2 days for?Union Camp 7-11JulyThis time i was co-OGL with hasan. Though i was apprehensive bout this bigger role on the first day. But Booza was so DIY, i didnt have to worry! So throughout this 5 days, i was the main supplier of games (especially the animal game! :p) and the photographer. The result was 10albums of photos at Victor's facebook. Heh. Realized i like to take photos (especially of objects, scenary and food), and have trained a good reaction time to on-aim-shoot. ^^ Though i felt lonely more often, this camp was more well organized such that the OGLs dont need to take on so many things and there were even 2 of them. I felt like i bonded with the freshies more but these days, no word from them. There are some i dont want to give up on too. Met Desmond who was in Arts Camp too and this time in our arch-rival Hippies. A fellow og photographer too. Heh.What's left of this camp will be the hedonistic fun then. Dont think closer relationships can be formed.Karate Camp 25-28 JulyAfter a week long sickness, a week later this training camp had to come. Heh. I was able to bond more with Liya, Nicole, Xiang Pin and Annie. The other seniors seemed more distant than usual :(. When i left this camp, i doubted why i was in karate in the first place though my passion is music and drawing. After a week, i remembered. It's to find stability of spirit. Im still a flighty person, prone to nervousness and worry. Heh. Jia you!Left 4 days of holidays... :( Today i bidded cuz it was the ending of round 2A (i missed 1c for my japanese2! What a waste of points), packed my clothes, and had new bedsheets. Yea i feel accomplished. Off to tuition then!
