Rapture 4th Augusthah it was the first time i watched a concert at the esplanade! Really beautiful. I didnt enjoy this year's Rapture though. Got some nice dances lah, especially the cool opening with the gigantic floating paper lanterns, and the more classical ones (with ballet shoes and loads of pointe ^^). The rest are the usual hot dances with suggestive songs that just make my morals go one notch down. (Ya, i could feel the intensity of the stares of males. no wonder guys go to dance concerts like these) O but there were something for females too. There was one item that had half naked youths with wonderfully toned abdomens. ^^ Quite distracting. An item by NUS had their dances strip slowly to their undergarments (thin nightgowns for gals, briefs for guys @_@) A very sore point was the continuous flashing of backgroung lights into our eyes. (we were sitting at the side boxes) We couldnt see the dancers unless a body blocks a spotlight. Hmm overall not memorable. The highlight of the day was when me, A and bh lost our way at Clarke Quay (or boat Quay?) behind the respectable pubs and restaurants were dark alleys. So scary!! Dubious men that looked like they were waiting for somebody and whose eyes follow u as u walk past them. (gosh!!) And it was already 11+, we were walking along dark empty streets, employed several tactics (usual ones for lost souls. Ugh..) like following people who seem to know their way (but u dun know where they are going!) walking towards a well-lit road (whose name u never knew existed) and asking a Japanese business woman for directions. Luckily, we managed to catch one of the last trains, and i boarded the last shuttle bus at woodlands (all first experiences for me) haha, scary night! but in the end, i was back safe at home (1+am) eating supper. Tiring day. ^^
