THE OUTING
After the visit, it was time for some retail therapy!! We headed down to marina square- i've always thought it was a dusty place with nice swirly tiles (i was a kid the last time i've been there), but taddaa! the second floor had so many small stores in 1 corner that caters to young adults (reminds me of Hereen) and the first floor had posh boutiques and upper end stores, not to forget the many food outlets! from the basic staples (think fast food) to the 'food-looks-delicious-but-price-will-look-better-with-less-digits' kind of cafes. (we just ate BK in the end -_- no $$)
i was wearing my shabby bright yellow sec4 class shirt (not that i have no clothes to wear but i felt nostalgic that day. dont think it was noticed >_<)
and for the first time in my life, i entered stores like mango, zara, topshop, ms selfridge (selfish? sell fridge? spell?) etc. k lah quite pathetic but i've never dared enter those before (and i was wearing some juvenile banana shirt!)
i've acquired a love for shopping from my friends. i used to dislike it (but that's cause i wasn't looking at the things i like. now that i know what i like, it makes things much easier. more on that nxt time ^^)
and i felt like eatting ice cream. either the soya ice cream from mr bean, a $3.5o miserly but oh-so-creamy-that-the-ice-cream's-curls-and-folds-hang-tantalisingly-mid-air scoop of ice cream, from this unique japanese sweet and desserts shop, or $3-4 for anderson's (or henderson?) ice cream. The remaining $3+ in my poor wallet was screaming to be spent. Another temptatin came whan my one of my friends bought a classic cold cut sandwhich from Subway, with yummy cheese and mustard (i would have added some tomatoes). I didnt buy anything in the end. o i did buy some cheese stuffed hotdogs at Causeway point. They were'nt hot enough but were still delicious :)
